Background

Aetherflux is taking a new approach to an old idea – space solar power. Our satellites will collect sunlight in Low Earth Orbit and transmit that power through infrared lasers to portable ground receivers, providing energy access where traditional delivery is expensive, challenging, or dangerous.

Current energy systems rely on complex logistics and outdated infrastructure, making them vulnerable to natural disasters, extreme weather, and physical and cyber attacks. Aetherflux overcomes these challenges by enabling direct, on-demand, secure, and scalable 24-hour energy distribution from space. This can revolutionize energy generation and delivery, and enable new capabilities as we deliver power to remote regions, military bases, bespoke operations, and unmanned autonomous systems.

Baiju Bhatt founded Aetherflux in 2024. Inspired by his father’s work with NASA, Baiju earned his B.S. in Physics and M.S. in Mathematics at Stanford before co-founding Robinhood, now a public company that has helped over 20 million Americans access the financial system. Aetherflux raised $60 million from Index Ventures, Interlagos, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, and others.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to join our dynamic team to play a pivotal role in expanding and scaling our Engineering organization. The ideal candidate will be outcome oriented, focused on closing the best possible candidate for each role and will have a proven track record of success growing teams. You’ll work closely with the team to create job descriptions, source qualified candidates, qualify and convert leads into hires, and ensure a smooth and candidate-centric process throughout.

Responsibilities

  • Run full-cycle recruiting process, with heavy emphasis on sourcing/prospecting, while providing an excellent candidate and hiring team experience
  • Leverage multiple and creative sourcing strategies, tools, and channels including your external network, job boards, and internal referrals to provide a funnel of high-caliber candidates for our Engineering organization
  • Develop and leverage employer brand in partnership with the Head of Marketing
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and goals and over time, develop new recruitment strategies and give feedback on what is and what's not working
  • Drive offer process - including extending and negotiating offers and closing candidates
  • Collaborate with the Executive and Engineering Team to continually improve processes and experience
  • Maintain reports and performance metrics
  • Plan and execute creative recruiting events and campaigns that attract top talent

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 7+ years of experience in a full-cycle technical recruiting role with software, mechanical, manufacturing and electrical engineering roles and deep technical sourcing expertise, preferably at startups and successful technology companies with hyper growth
  • Skilled at closing technical candidates
  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced work environment while prioritizing multiple functions and managing time efficiently
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally with all levels of seniority in the business
  • Maintaining confidentiality and high discretion to safeguard privileged information
  • Strong organizational skills for tracking candidates using an ATS system, recruitment marketing platform, and sourcing tools
  • Self-starter with a penchant for experimentation. You’re always looking for ways to do your job better and you never wait to be told what to do. When you see an opportunity, you jump on it
  • A positive attitude: You’re a team player and you’re resilient in the face of challenges
  • Any technical experience (you used to be an engineer or a PM, or you can code) a huge plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent experience

The base salary starts at $150k+/year for this role is. The base salary is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority and location. The range indicated is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
