Position Summary
We’re looking for a Technical Program Management Intern for the Product Development organization to help improve how Antora tracks and drives cost reduction work. Over the summer, this person will build a should-cost workflow for key parts of the product, connect that work to the team’s existing cost opportunity tracker, and use AI to help identify the most important savings opportunities, outdated assumptions, and gaps in execution. The goal is not just to complete a summer project, but to leave the team with a simpler, more useful process they can keep using after the internship ends.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build and test a should-cost workflow for a set of high-impact module subassemblies, including defining inputs, assumptions, review steps, and follow-up actions.
- Connect should-cost outputs to the team’s existing cost opportunity tracker and improve how cost-saving ideas are captured, updated, and prioritized.
- Work with engineering, supply chain, and other stakeholders to simplify how cost updates happen and clarify which tools and data sources should be used.
- Create an AI-assisted review process that helps the team spot duplicate entries, outdated assumptions, conflicting information, and top-priority execution areas.
Key Qualifications
- Strong project ownership skills and the ability to work through ambiguous problems with limited direction.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to understand technical and cost tradeoffs across design, sourcing, and manufacturing.
- Strong technical depth to work effectively with engineering teams and independently assess technical risks & recommendations; a background in mechanical engineering or a related area is preferred.
- Experience using AI tools in practical ways, especially to organize information, improve workflows, or support decision-making.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work and influence direction across functions.
Additional Qualifications Desired
- Experience with cost modeling, engineering drawings / CAD, BOMs, sourcing, manufacturing / DFM, or related technical program work.
- Experience building prompts, lightweight automations, or repeatable AI workflows.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to try new approaches to solve messy operational problems.
