Job Summary:

The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for receiving and controlling incoming materials, as well as placing purchases for consumables and commodities in support of internal teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Receiving Support (~70-80%)
    • Performs daily parcel receiving from carriers and internal delivery (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc)
    • Receives, verifies, and signs for freight deliveries; including unloading, unpacking, moving, and organizing products. Utilizes forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed.
    • Performs recurring and ad hoc inventory counting, updating, and requesting replenishment
    • Safely moves hazardous waste within the warehouse to prepare for pickup
    • Disassembles products and packaging for recycling
    • Assists with facilities maintenance activities as needed
    • Assists with warehouse expansion projects
    • Performs inspections and organization of staging, accumulating, and inventory storage areas
  • Procurement (~20-30%)
    • Completes product orders as needed (Grainger, ULINE, Digikey, etc)
    • Enters and performs orders, and communicates with vendors, and completes requests from internal teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of warehouse operations experience in a manufacturing or assembly product environment
  • Conceptual knowledge of material receipt, storage, and issue, and inventory control
  • Knowledge of purchasing functions such as purchase order submitting and vendor communication
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with an attention to detail
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with, or ability to quickly learn, Microsoft Office’s suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification
  • HAZWOPER training

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to operate the following equipment and tools: Forklift, Pallet Jack, and Hand Tools

Compensation:

  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $22.00 to $28.00 hourly and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
