What you will do:

As a Warehouse Technician II on the Supply Chain Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and products within our facility. This position combines responsibilities related to shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations, requiring a high level of autonomy and attention to detail. The majority of your time will be spent coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing inventory and material movements, including hazardous material, and optimizing warehouse processes to support the scale-up of our operations. In this role you will:

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including both international and domestic freight
  • Prepare shipping documents, customs paperwork, and export/import documentation as required
  • Arrange transportation and logistics services with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damages, and reconcile discrepancies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations such as DOT and IATA, trade compliance laws, and company policies
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, parts, and products into ERP system
  • Prepare and pack outgoing shipments according to customer requirements and shipping regulations
  • Maintain organized and efficient warehouse storage areas, including proper labeling, stacking, and inventory organization
  • Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely handle and move materials within the warehouse, including hazardous materials
  • Continuously evaluate warehouse and shipping/receiving processes and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and flow
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when handling materials, operating equipment, and working in the warehouse
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies related to shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and participate in safety training and initiatives as required

What we need you to bring to the team:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or related roles within a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience with international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and export/import documentation
  • Proficiency in using ERP, WMS, project management software
  • Experience in a manufacturing or assembly product environment
  • Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment
  • Possess demonstrated understanding of logistics, supply systems, and inventory control
  • The ability to carry out assignments independently as well as collaboratively as needed
  • The ability to adapt quickly to changing processes and responsibilities
  • The ability to relate to and communicate effectively with customers and employees at all levels
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

What we want you to bring to the team:

  • Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification and experience handling hazardous materials safely preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite (ERP) and/or Asana (project management software)
  • Experience with barcode scanning technology or other automated tracking systems

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to see, hear, stand, walk, reach, carry, push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and sit for extended amounts of time in front of a computer
  • Clarity of vision, depth perception, hand-eye coordination, the ability to identify and distinguish colors, and the use of hands and fingers to type, sort, and handle
  • Heavy lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds
  • Climb ladders, stairs, or platforms
  • Work in confined spaces
  • Use power tools and noise producing tools and equipment, and to perform duties near moving mechanical parts
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts and electric power jacks

Compensation:

  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $22.00-$28.00 per hour and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education
