As an Associate in our Catalyst R&D Laboratory, your mission will be to help us install and operate various analytical instrumentation and develop methods for analyzing catalysts. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with our scientists and engineers working on electrocatalysts for the future of water electrolyzers.

You will be based onsite in our Lab in Natick, MA, and report to Catalyst Team Lead.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing and characterizing catalyst samples for analysis
  • Carrying out a variety of laboratory experiments and operations
  • Supporting others in more complex laboratory tasks
  • Recording results, organizing data, and performing basic calculations
  • Setting up and maintaining analytical equipment
  • Complying with all safety standards
  • Solving technical issues that arise within the lab

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Maximum educational level that will be considered is a Master's Degree, Associate's or bachelors degree preferred
  • Experience working in a wet lab
  • Experience handling powders and hazardous materials
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Strong critical thinking and judgement skills to solve commonly encountered problems
  • Comfortable working in a team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must work in a standing or seated position for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours
  • Significant walking or other means of mobility
  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and must adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
  • Must reach, bend, stoop, push or pull and frequently lift up to 40 pounds. Occasionally lift or move 60 pounds
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud at times
  • Must wear appropriate PPE

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS | Level S1

$20$25 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
