Senior Lab Technician - Power Systems

We are looking for a Senior Lab Technician, Power Systems who will work with our Power Systems Engineering team. You will manage lab resources, equipment, supplies and components and and organize the lab space and equipment. You will also assist with organizing and collaborating with engineers and other internal groups with testing, as well as provide input and feedback to engineers.
You will onsite in our office in San Jose, CA, and you will report to our Manager, Power and Electrical Engineering.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of prototype builds of power electronics converters including:
- Construction of test fixtures
- Perform prototype testing per written specification or verbal instruction
- Wiring for both low voltage and high voltage/high current circuits
- Rework electronic boards
- Perform functional testing and failure analysis to a component level
- Coordinate activities with internal and external suppliers to ensure delivery and installation of equipment
Qualifications
- 5 years of Experience with soldering, electrical/mechanical assembly, and component-level electronics debug and repair
- 5 years of Experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies
- Manual dexterity to assemble very small components with magnification assistance
Compensation & Benefits | S4
Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
