We are looking for a Senior Electrolyzer Stack Engineer to support the product and technology development of Electric Hydrogen's electrolyzer stacks.

You will work onsite at our Devens, MA office, and you will report to our Stack Engineering Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Document and maintain stack and stack subcomponent requirements, and interface and assess conformity against these requirements.

  • Develop a Design Failure Mode and Effects (DFMEA) for the stacks and stack components.

  • Perform analyses to verify stacks and subcomponents meet their requirements.

  • Conduct design reviews for stacks and stack subcomponents.

  • Create 3D models and drawings of stacks and stack subcomponents.

  • Develop part and material specifications for stacks and stack subcomponents.

  • Develop, release, and maintain a Bill of Materials (BOM) for stacks and stack subcomponents.

  • Develop a Design Verification Plant & Report (DVP&R) for the stack and stack subcomponents and lead other responsibilities to manage their verification.

  • Participate in the change management process of stacks and stack subcomponents.

  • Help develop First Article Inspection (FAI) and Incoming Quality Control (IQC) plans for stacks and stack subcomponents.

  • Support supply chain, quality, and manufacturing for procurement and manufacturing of stacks and stack subcomponents.

  • Support stack certification for codes and standards.

  • Lead technology development of stacks and stack subcomponents to improve attributes and reduce risks for performance, lifetime, cost, and manufacturability.

  • Support the development and tracking of scope for schedules and budget for stack and stack subcomponent activities.

Prior Experience and Professional Qualities

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar discipline

  • 5+ years' of relevant experience
  • Experience in 3D modeling, drawing skills, and tolerance analysis

  • Experience in all three development cycles of design, build, and test

  • Experience with requirements documentation, maintenance, and verification processes
  • Experience with Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

  • Experience with seal/gasket analysis and design

  • Basic knowledge of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials, and mass transport

  • Experience with electrolyzers, fuel cells, and batteries

$135,000$155,000 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
