ESS is seeking a dynamic MES Engineer who will work closely with our development team to implement and enhance our MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to support our production ramp up at our Wilsonville facility.

What you’ll do at ESS

  • Support the deployment, maintenance and optimization of the MES at our Wilsonville, Oregon facility and future facilities.
  • Do your part to ensure the MES is operating reliably and is dynamically improving to meet evolving business needs.
  • Serve as the point person for testing new features on site and assist in the creation of documentation to support future deployments.

What you bring to the table

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ Years experience in science-based field with bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to self-manage workload across a complex mix of projects and deadlines.
  • Self-learner demonstrated ability to improve personal skillset and proficiency as needed.
  • Basic experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems, Modbus and PLC systems.

Nice To Have:

  • A passion for industry 4.0, lean manufacturing and digital manufacturing transformation.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as: Python, SQL, JavaScript and/or C#.
  • Knowledgeable of software tools: Tulip Interfaces and/or Oracle Fusion.
