Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Cell Build Technician to support development of our core technology through the processing of experimental build requests.This role reports into our R&D Sector. As part of our Core Technology team, you will be part of the Prototype Build line, working in close collaboration with the Design and Manufacturing Engineers on our team. The ideal candidate will be able to master existing processes while proactively identifying methods in which to improve build quality, throughput, and overall process organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an individual to sharpen their technical skills and lend their experience to directly impact the development of a breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!

What you'll do:

  • Inspect, organize and prepare raw material, components and hardware

  • Track material usage to provide traceability/perform inventory cycle counts

  • Operate manufacturing equipment to perform assigned tasks per work instructions and in accordance with all safety standards

  • Document and organize battery assembly notes and status for performance traceability

  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace per 5s standards to make sure the next shift is set up for success

  • Work as part of a tight-knit team to contribute to innovative and creative solutions

What you'll bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing production environment with good general manufacturing practices (GMPs)

  • Demonstrated experience with hand tools; experience with manufacturing equipment is a plus

  • Must be proficient in digital tools and MES platforms

  • Aptitude for high quality and detail-oriented work

  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods

  • Solid communication skills within a group of peers and broader organization
