What You’ll Do:

As an Account Manager, your main responsibility is the management, growth and success for one or more strategic clients with multi operations (exploration to production) operating in multiple jurisdictions.

Success results in deepening client engagement and growth in both the current operations and expansion to new operations within the client’s portfolio by the introduction of new products and or services. The Account Manager will be the senior point of contact for client engagement for the portfolio of work being performed and will be responsible for designing and executing on the strategy of growing the work program with the client. Along with senior executives, account manager will be part of the commercial team responsible for negotiating and monitoring key commercial terms and client success.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, key stakeholders and decision makers within a mining company while utilizing internal teams for optimal client health and growth.
  • Understand clients’ business goals, technical requirements, and commercial requirements to provide tailored solutions and proactive support.
  • Being a critical foundation in consistent and transparent communication on corporate objectives, industry trends and strategic opportunities.

Technical Expertise:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, services, and technical capabilities and how that pertains to site specific goals.
  • Understand and navigate technical expertise within the company to manage conversations (internal and external).
  • Aid in the identification and internal communication of client value drivers to technical teams for improved value selling and solution adoption.
  • Input on product development, potential uses cases, engagement opportunities related to your client portfolio and general technology adoption.

Account Management:

  • Working with Project Managers, GeoScience, and other applicable teams for driving value, maintaining deliverable scope, and facilitating meetings (internal and external) as required.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular internal and external updates as needed.
  • Responsible for capturing and reporting client specific information and growth opportunities through the CRM and other applicable channels.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and client feedback to identify new business opportunities.

Account Growth and Renewals:

  • Develop a strategic growth plan for assigned clients aligned with annual corporate objectives through but not limited to opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products/services and site expansion based on clients’ evolving needs and usage patterns.
  • Responsible alongside upper management for contract negotiations, renewals and by demonstrating the value and ROI of our offerings and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract development and renewals partnering with Legal and cross-functional teams to support contract closure and execution.

Travel Requirements

Global travel is required for this position up to 40% of the time. Travel will include but is not limited to client meetings, site visits, and conferences.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience working into jurisdictional expansion is an asset
  • Experience with procurement teams (need to know how to navigate) is required
  • Experience with MSA and managing multiple groups is a requirement
  • Proficiency with CRM tools
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Geology/mining experience is an asset
