What You’ll Do:
The HR Lead - LATAM at GeologicAI will be responsible for serving as the trusted key point of contact in LATAM for leadership and employees, leading full-cycle recruiting, payroll, and benefits administration across the region, and driving the people processes and programs that support the full employee lifecycle. This is a role defined by its breadth, spanning day-to-day employee support, compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and the cultural and operational bridge-building between LATAM teams and corporate headquarters that keeps the region running smoothly and in step with the broader business.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner to Latin America leadership on all employee matters.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for LATAM employees, triaging day to day inquiries and providing consistent, reliable support and escalating matters where necessary.
- Lead end to end recruiting for LATAM based roles across including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
- Support onboarding and offboarding for all LATAM employees ensuring a consistent experience across locations.
- Administer payroll for our LATAM employees accurately and in full compliance with payroll legislation across all locations.
- Administer employee benefits for our Chilean employees and serve as the local point of contact for benefits queries
- Conduct structured employee listening sessions and provide summarised people insights to leadership. Monitor for early signs of operational friction, emerging concerns, or people risks, ensuring timely escalation and resolution
- Support and at times lead the design, implementation, and documentation of Global and Regional HR processes and programs across the full employee lifecycle where these do not yet exist, including onboarding, workforce planning and people operations.
- Ensure the company meets its employment law and labour standards compliance obligations across all LATAM jurisdictions and employee types and communicate with corporate HR to understand local needs.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks stemming from informal or inconsistent people management practices
- Build relationships and help bridge culture and practice between the LATAM staff and corporate headquarters and other regional teams.
- Maintain accurate HR and payroll records for all LATAM employees and support the transition from BambooHR to UKG
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Spanish
Nice to Have:
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or a regional equivalent)
- Experience supporting multi-country or distributed teams across Latin America
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms
- Background in a fast-growing or startup environment, with comfort building processes from the ground up
