The Opportunity:
As a Quality Engineer at H2Site, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards for the design and construction of hydrogen production plants. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help ensure that our projects meet all regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
Main Tasks:
Quality Management Systems:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Quality Planning and Control:
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to establish quality plans and inspection procedures for hydrogen production plant projects.
- Define quality control criteria and ensure they are integrated into project plans and specifications.
Inspections and Audits:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of design documents, construction sites, and manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Revision of quality documents of suppliers.
- Identify non-conformities and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
- Reception of materials (valves, instruments, pressure vessels, …)
Welding:
- Approving and validating new welding procedures.
- Certifying and renewing qualifications for welders.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, including inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective action plans.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to management and stakeholders.
- Managing and reviewing material certificates.
- Maintaining calibration records for all pressure gauges and measurement instruments.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001 standards, and industry-specific regulations. Familiarity with relevant standards such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), EN (European Codes), PED (Pressure Equipment Directive), API (American Petroleum Institute) standards, and other national and international standards. Familiarity with maritime certification processes. Welding: Familiarity with welding procedures, welder homologations, ... for different fabrication codes. Inspection and Testing Techniques: Expertise in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle inspection, and dye penetrant inspection. Familiarity with hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, and leak detection methods for pressurized equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel to project sites, supplier facilities, and customer locations as required.
- Ability to conduct inspections and audits in various environmental conditions.
- Fluent in English
