The Role

In this role, you will be actively participating in the build and assembly of electrical and mechanical systems related to our carbon removal technology at our Brisbane headquarters. This includes providing support to engineers throughout the process, contributing to the creation of prototypes, and playing a crucial role in constructing equipment that will shape the future of carbon removal technology. As part of this dynamic position, there is an opportunity for personal growth within the company, allowing for the acquisition of new skills and close collaboration with engineers and designers.

What you will bring

You bring experience in electrical assembly within an industrial setting including tasks such as wiring, splicing, crimping, and soldering. Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of tools for cutting, hole drilling, and assembly are also essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes while making necessary adjustments. You are a proactive problem solver, willing to learn new skills and grow within the company, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment that requires adaptability to tackle new challenges beyond the direct scope of work. Bonus points if you have knowledge of PLCs, working in an R&D/prototyping environment, built electrical panels, or have any fabrication experience!
