We are looking for a self-starter to drive revenue growth for our Single Photon Systems in North-America. This role requires high adaptability: you must be equally comfortable closing a high volume of short-cycle inbound leads and navigating long-cycle strategic relationships with major research institutions, innovation groups in the deep tech industry.
You possess an exacerbated curiosity about our clients' technical challenges and the discipline to work autonomously. As we scale our US operations, you will also play a crucial bridge role, ensuring customer success while we expand our local support infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Revenue Growth: Own the sales pipeline for the North-American territory. You will manage a hybrid sales motion: rapidly converting short-cycle inbound leads while simultaneously nurturing complex, multi-stakeholder tenders to establish lasting market presence.
- Sales Discipline (MEDDPICC): Apply MEDDPICC methodologies to rigorously qualify deals and ensure forecast accuracy. You will maintain impeccable discipline around CRM (Salesforce) hygiene to ensure data drives our decisions.
- Interim Technical Advisory: Act as the primary technical interface for US clients during the build-out of our local Support team.
- Note: We are actively recruiting dedicated Support roles, so this responsibility will gradually transition from direct troubleshooting to high-level account oversight.
- Channel Management: Empower and manage resellers and distributors in the America’s to maximize market reach and performance in the territory.
- Brand & Technical Evangelism: Organize roadshows, lead workshops, and represent IDQ at key industry trade shows, translating our technical superiority into commercial value for renowned scientific groups.
- Strategic Market Feedback: Monitor scientific literature to identify emerging applications and feed customer insights back to Product Management to influence the roadmap.
Requirements:
- Sales Proficiency: 5+ years of technical sales experience with a track record of meeting quotas in scientific instrumentation, photonic system sales, and/or quantum technologies.
- Methodology: Proven application of MEDDPICC or similar strategic sales methodologies is essential.
- Agility & Autonomy: Demonstrated capacity to work with autonomy and a high tolerance for ambiguity. You don't wait for permission; you assess the situation and act.
- Coachability: A strong desire to improve, be evaluated, and coached on an ongoing basis. You view feedback as fuel for professional growth.
- Technical Foundation: Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (ability to understand single-photon instrumentation metrics).
- Travel: Ability to travel periodically within the USA and Canada for client visits and trade shows and occasionally abroad to Europe/Switzerland.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (PhD/MSc) in Quantum Physics, Photonics or Optics.
- Existing network within US National Labs and major research universities.
- Experience in a hypergrowth or start-up environment.
The approximate base salary range for this position is $128,445 - $167,497. The total compensation package includes base, equity, and a range of benefit options found on our career site.
Location: This position can work onsite or hybrid from one of our offices or fully remote in the US.
Travel: Frequent traveling throughout North America, 1-3 international trips per year - up to 25%.

Compensation will vary based on individual factors such as education, qualifications, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location, and calibration against relevant market data and internal team equity. Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
