Kodama Systems is seeking an experienced and motivated Skidder Operator to grow with our company. Note - this is a primarily remote/telework position. The ideal candidate has experience driving skidders in person and is excited about deploying our technology in the field and further developing Kodama Autopilot, our teleoperation platform for forestry machines.

Education or Experience: 3+ years skidding on forest management projects
Location: Remote
Travel: Possibility of travel to project sites across the U.S.
Hours: 40+ hrs per week
Compensation: $25-35/hr, depending upon experience, including OT

Duties:

• Control skidder with Autopilot to drag trees to landing area in commercial operations.
• When required, drive the skidder in-person to fulfill similar duties.
• Coordinate with Kodama team to maintain machinery and develop the Autopilot product.
• Follow Field Supervisor work orders.
• Remotely operate as safely as possible.

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience driving skidders
• Ability to travel if needed for special deployments and work overtime
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to sit for long durations and maintain sound situational awareness
• Machine troubleshooting and repair knowledge
• Valid U.S. Drivers License

Compensation + Benefits:

• $25-35 per hour, DOE, with OT pay
