Help bring clean energy solutions to life. As a Regional System Operator, you’ll play a key role in running and maintaining M2X’s cutting-edge biogas-to-methanol production systems — modular, mobile biofuel plants designed to make renewable fuel accessible anywhere.

In this role, you’ll actively support engineering development, site acceptance testing (SAT), and field commissioning. You’ll collaborate with our Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure safe, reliable operation while collecting the performance data that drives continuous improvement.

We’re looking for candidates with hands-on technical skills, experience with instrumentation and data acquisition, and the motivation to thrive in a fast-moving, field-based environment.

Specific responsibilities may include:

• Set up, calibrate, and operate industrial test rigs, sensors, and instrumentation
• Monitor test procedures, collect and log data, and verify equipment performance
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on test equipment
• Assist engineers with Site Acceptance Test (SAT) procedures and system commissioning
• Maintain organized records of test results, calibration certificates, and maintenance logs
• Support installation and removal of test equipment at field sites
• Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for specialized equipment support
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables required for testing
• Provide clear daily reports on test status, findings, and issues to the Engineering Team

Qualifications:

• Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent applied training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology
• 2+ years of experience operating or maintaining industrial or laboratory test equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools and diagnostic instruments
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with sensors and control systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) and basic data analysis
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in outdoor or industrial environments as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in industrial testing, process operations, or field service
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, or other industrial control system
• Experience with biofuel, chemical, or renewable energy process equipment
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and hazardous-materials handling
• Track record of effective collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams

Job Type: Full-time, On-site. Travel up to 50%

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Primary Work Location: Effingham, IL
