The Company has a highly experienced leadership team with a track record of successfully commercializing and deploying industrial technologies and is working towards the deployment of a first-of-a-kind commercial plant.
About the role:
- The business development director will focus on expanding and diversifying Mangrove's revenue streams and manage the business development across different market segments (Lithium miners, battery recyclers, and cathode manufacturers)
- The BDD will be able to identify new growth opportunities in different markets and work collaboratively with Mangrove's engineering, operations, and commercial roles to drive customer success.
- This position will focus on the North American and European markets.
The location.
- Remote in the US, Mexico, or Canada.
- Local and International travel is required.
The responsibilities:
- The BDD Develops relationships with prospective clients.
- It Is responsible for building, maintaining, and managing a healthy sales pipeline and hitting corporate milestones.
- Understands customers' pains and creates solutions using a consultative sales approach.
- Responsible for pricing strategy and the development of commercial contracts.
- Produces techno-economic models and business cases and manages bills of materials.
- Studies and reports on the competitive landscape and market trends.
- Works closely with engineering design and production teams to ensure execution of contracted products within specifications on time and budget.
- Interacts professionally and ethically with all stakeholders, communicates, and represents Mangroves in a dignified manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, industrial engineering, chemistry, or business required.
- MBA or business training is a plus.
- Experience in mining, cathode manufacturing, battery recycling, or chemical industries is desirable.
- Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) experience desirable.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Can produce detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions.
