The Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for MAX employees while ensuring strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cost-control standards. The role supports employee well-being and productivity by delivering timely, healthy, and culturally appropriate meals in a clean and safe environment.

What You’ll Do:

Meal Preparation & Service

  • Prepare daily meals according to approved menus, dietary requirements, and portion standards.
  • Ensure meals are nutritious, balanced, and aligned with employee preferences.
  • Serve food promptly and maintain quality during service hours.

Menu Planning & Cost Control

  • Support menu planning with a focus on nutrition, variety, and cost efficiency.
  • Manage food portions to reduce waste and control costs.
    Monitor food usage and report shortages or excesses.

Food Safety & Hygiene

  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of food items.
    Comply with internal HSE policies and local food safety laws.

Inventory & Supplies

  • Monitor kitchen inventory and request replenishment in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
    Report faulty equipment or safety hazards immediately.

Kitchen Management

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Support inspections and audits when required.

Collaboration & Conduct

  • Work closely with Admin, Facilities, and Operations teams.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and service-oriented attitude.
  • Uphold MAX’s values and code of conduct.

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a corporate, industrial, or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of local and continental dishes; ability to adapt menus as needed.
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Certification in Food Safety or Catering (added advantage).
  • Excellent cooking and food presentation skills
  • Strong time management and organizational ability
  • Attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet meal deadlines
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • May require early mornings, shifts, or extended hours based on operational needs.
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing for long periods.
