The Supply Chain Director is responsible for managing all supply chain activities for both ingredient & finished goods production. This includes ingredient manufacturing at the Nature’s Fynd facility in Chicago, as well as finished good co-manufacturing facilities in the Midwest & East Coast. It also includes planned expansions for both ingredient & finished goods. The Supply Chain Director will manage a team that is responsible for purchasing, shipping & receiving, inventory management, production scheduling, & capacity planning. This role will sit within the Technology & Operations Division & will report to the Senior Director of Capacity & Supply Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee team of three (Supply Chain Lead, Logistics Coordinator, Senior Inventory Analyst)
  • Manage raw material planning by ensuring ingredient & packaging material availability at Nature's Fynd plant & co-manufacturing facilities
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing teams to forecast demand to retail & foodservice channels
  • Develop master production schedule requirements from demand forecast, plant capacity, history, & assure alignment of production resources with capacity requirements
  • Create finished good planning & production plans at co-manufacturing sites
  • Manage distribution to ensure on-time, in-full delivery to distributors
  • Utilize & manage ERP system (NetSuite) for accurate supply, inventory, & delivery management
  • Manage internal S&OP process
  • Find innovative ways of working using systems in place

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required: Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations, Economics, or similar preferred
  • MBA or other relevant higher education preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in the CPG industry
  • Should be familiar with S&OP, raw material planning, logistics & transportation & manufacturing
  • Experience with refrigerated & short shelf-life products preferred
  • Continuous improvement experience preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Adept with people management & ability to develop teams
  • Passion for developing process from scratch
  • Ability to troubleshoot business needs & develop “right-sized” solutions
