Role Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and self-driven intern with a background in science or engineering to join our all-solid-state battery development team at our San Jose office. The chosen candidate will collaborate closely with our cross-functional teams to support various projects centered on material development and cell integration for all-solid-state batteries. The candidate should be capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate, synthesize, and optimize new or existing material systems for all-solid-state battery integration.
• Work with cross-functional teams to perform physical and chemical analyses on newly synthesized materials.
• Assess the compatibility of newly developed materials with existing cell components.
• Communicate with team members regarding project plans, progress, risks, and resource requirements.

Qualifications:

• Senior undergraduate or master's student with a background in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with materials characterization techniques (e.g., XRD, SEM, Raman, XPS, etc.).
• Experience with inorganic material synthesis and/or polymer design and development.
• Basic understanding of electrochemistry and battery systems.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
• Motivation to learn new technologies in a clean, dry laboratory setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the battery field is preferred.

Compensation: This internship will be paid an hourly rate will will be dependent on the year of completed education (undergrad, graduate, phd). The hourly rate range is $25-$40 per hour.
