Description:

Are you passionate about clean energy and ready to contribute in the race for a better battery? We are seeking a motivated and diligent swing-shift technician to support all solid-state battery development, and work with the team to tackle exciting materials challenges.

Shift::Tue to Sat, 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Handle air sensitive materials in glovebox / dry room / fume hood with proper PPE.

  • Operate coating, laminating, and press equipment with full attention to standard operating procedure (SOP) details, including setup, cleanup, and troubleshooting.

  • Work closely with engineers and other technicians to continuously improve the process.

  • Accurately and timely document experiment details and pass downs.

  • Prepare, weigh, package, document samples for materials test.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and 1+ years of experience in a R&D laboratory or manufacturing environments

  • Ability to perform work in a dry room, and glovebox that requires the use of fine motor skills for extended periods of time, standing, reaching and twisting motions with hands, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

  • Phenomenal attention to details; follow procedures to efficiently run equipment and handle chemicals safely.

  • Adapt to constantly evolving processes and enjoy learning new techniques.

  • Clear written and verbal skills to logically communicate observations and thought processes.

  • Willing to work overtime on short notice.

  • Basic computer skills to accurately record and analyze data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience of working in glove box and/or dry room.

  • Familiar with analytical tools and techniques (microscopy, FTIR, etc)

  • Experience in operating heavy duty pressing machine.

  • Experience of working with roll to roll process

This position is required to perform these above essential duties and responsibilities onsite at our QS offices.

Compensation & Benefits: The hourly range for this role is between $20.29 and $26.35, and a final hourly wage will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background.
