Metrology Internship

As a member of the metrology team, you will help us optimize various imaging systems while learning the fundamentals of imaging and data analysis. Come join us in a role that sits at the intersection of materials, manufacturing, machine vision, and data science.
Internship is required to be located onsite at our San Jose, CA offices
What you will do:
· Apply your lab experience to design and conduct experiments on metrology systems, driven by a spirit of curiosity and continuous improvement. Use the results to propose thoughtful enhancements to production-critical metrology tools.
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, actively engaging in meetings and project work. Embrace a learning mindset to contribute meaningfully to diverse metrology efforts, supporting shared goals through open communication and teamwork.
Minimum requirements:
· Student in a B.S. program in EE, optics, robotics, materials science, applied physics, or a related field.
· Experience designing experiments to test hypotheses in a research environment.
· Hands-on lab experience in imaging, characterization, or inspection.
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
· You have a curious, hands-on approach to problem solving.
· You are a strong communicator and love working in a fast-paced, team environment.
· Your time-management and organizational skills allow you to balance multiple projects in parallel.
· You apply your resourcefulness to develop new skills, and you’re not shy about asking questions.

Preferred:
· Previous experience with data analysis in Python/R
· Previous experience with statistical analysis
