Analytical Laboratory Technician

As a Laboratory Technician at Redwood, you will have the opportunity to make the world a better place by assisting in a wide variety of analytical / metallurgical processes across the Company.

Current Shifts:

A (Sun - Tues and every other Wed) 6am to 6pm

B (Sun - Tues and every other Wed) 6pm to 6am [includes shift differential]

C (Thurs - Sat and every other Wed) 6am to 6pm

D (Thurs - Sat and every other Wed) 6pm to 6am [includes shift differential]

Responsibilities will include:
Under close supervision, performs routine chemical and/or metallurgical analytical tasks at the assigned site.

  • May collect samples which could include collection from processes or trucks in some locations.

  • Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques.

  • Assists with/performs routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting.

  • Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of math, chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

  • A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Experience with sample preparation and analysis.

  • Experience with chemical handling and laboratory hazards.

  • Ability to follow detailed, technical instructions.

  • Organization and documentation skills.

  • Proficient using MS Office, including Excel spreadsheets and Word documentation.

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
