Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Redwood Materials is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Fabrication and Engineering teams with custom tooling, fixtures, and design for fabrication expertise. This role will report directly to the Fabrication Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Own the design for custom tooling, fixtures, and equipment from concept to design.
  • Develop a quality verification process for incoming materials and finished equipment.
  • Specify and source materials and components for inhouse designs and outsource ‘components outside of our capabilities.
  • Point of contact for design review to ensure project requests have adequate information and are within equipment capabilities.
  • Solidworks and Autodesk interpretation/conversion to help fabricators find dimensions and create a fabrication set from the model.
  • Support design modifications and DXF generation.
  • General mechanical engineering tasks, including kitting verification.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a background in Mechanical Design and fabrication technologies.
  • Hands-on and detailed oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Metal fabrication and machine shop experience.
  • Good computer skills; MS Office, etc.
  • Solid Modeling 3D CAD experience preferred.
  • Experience with multiple metrology technologies.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
