Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. Senior Manager, HRBP

As the Senior Manager of our HR Business Partner team at Redwood Materials, you will lead a team of HR professionals to align HR initiatives with business objectives. Reporting to the HR Leader, you'll cultivate partnerships across the organization, enhancing employee engagement, fostering a positive work culture, and supporting workforce growth and development.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to drive strategic HR initiatives across business units.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Drive employee engagement through talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Lead the development and implementation of employee relations strategies and initiatives that align with the company's values and goals.
  • Oversee continuous improvement of people policies, programs, and procedures for enhanced performance.
  • Leverage analytics to make data-driven improvements to Redwood’s HR strategy.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, offering guidance on organizational development and change management initiatives.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification preferred.
  • 10+ years as an HR Business Partner or in a similar strategic HR role, preferably in a manufacturing startup environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, managing and developing high-performing HR teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Results-oriented mindset, capable of driving HR initiatives contributing to business success.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong experience in employee relations and coaching.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with empathy and judgment.
  • Passion for sustainability and contributing to positive change.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
