Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

Redwood Materials is looking for a Systems Specialist to join the Quality team in order to develop and maintain quality systems across the organization. This position will involve implementation and improvements to systems used to facilitate various business processes. This role will work collaboratively with technical experts, engineers, managers, and cross-functional teams to define and implement processes, standard practices, and systems. This role will work directly with Quality System Engineers to take process improvements and turn them into system features. This role will require learning and becoming the expert in a variety of systems supporting multiple Redwood locations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop system requirements and feature requests.
  • Define software/system requirements based on business process needs.
  • Support the development, deployment, and improvement of critical quality systems including but not limited to systems that support laboratories, manufacturing, audits and maintenance (LIMS, MES, CAPA, CMMS, WMS).
  • Prioritize multiple projects across all departments and systems.
  • Create, update, and maintain system configurations across the organization. Systems include but are not limited to: JIRA, SharePoint, Oracle, etc.
  • Identify improvement opportunities across teams and develop solutions to close the gap.
  • Manage and maintain system settings, features, and configurations to support business needs.
  • Manage and maintain system documentation and user guides.
  • Quickly learn, support and understand the interactions between systems.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree IT, Computer Science, engineering or other relevant technical field.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated manufacturing, computer science, systems, engineering or similar experience.
  • Experience with development and use of critical quality tools and quality system elements.
  • Experience with data mining, queries and data visualization.
  • Experience with Jira or similar tools.
  • Preferred: Experience with SharePoint, PowerApps, PowerBI, and other Microsoft tools.
  • Preferred: SQL, Python, or other.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment without predefined standards.
  • Ability to execute with a calm and collaborative urgency.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
