Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

Process Drafter

Redwood Materials is looking for a Process Drafter to support the Process & Mechanical Engineering teams with the development and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate under the guidance of a Design Manager or Engineer to generate schematics and various drawings.
  • Employ CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Solidworks for the creation of:
    • PFD’s.
    • P&ID’s.
    • Engineering Details .
    • 2D Layout Studies.
    • 3D Modeled Equipment and Piping.
    • 3D Mechanical modeling.

  • Stay informed about the most recent Redwood drafting and hardware specifications.
  • Contribute to the assurance of drawings' compliance with Redwood standards.
  • Assist in the maintenance of current standard detail templates for Redwood.
  • Operate within a systematic framework to uphold exceptional engineering document control and submit documents for review in an efficient and organized manner.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 0-1 years of drafting experience with supervision from engineering professionals.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD tools.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office proficiency.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
