Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in leading a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, and overseeing preventative maintenance programs. The primary focus is to maintain optimal operational availability of manufacturing equipment for our pilot and full-scale production lines. The Maintenance Supervisor will drive cost efficiency, continuous process improvement, service excellence, and safety within the business unit.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, support, and fostering a cohesive work environment.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between shifts, ensuring alignment of team members towards common goals.
- Drive improvements in procedures and standardization across all shifts, promoting collaboration among maintenance, production, and engineering departments.
- Ensure equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity and minimize downtime.
- Manage the expense budget for repairs, maintenance, overtime, and inventory related to mechanical, electrical, chemical processing, and automation equipment.
- Develop and motivate the team to address day-to-day operational challenges. and achieve short- and long-term performance objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, EHS, Operations, and Leadership teams.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety throughout the workforce.
- Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and minimize disruptions.
- Provide diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive, and corrective maintenance services for Redwood's production facilities.
- Support Redwood's Hydro and Pyro metallurgy processes.
- Perform electro and mechanical system maintenance and troubleshooting, including proficiency in PLC/Controls.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role.
- Internal candidates must currently be in a Lead position.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems.
- Electrical trades experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of NEC codes and knowledge of NFPA 70E practices.
- Proficient in electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting using blueprints.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting or programming.
- Comfortable making independent decisions and handling emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent report writing skills, including the ability to draft business correspondence and create standard work procedures.

Shift: C (Thurs - Sat and every other Wed) 6am to 6pm
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
