Spares Technician
The Spares Technician will facilitate the efficient movement of spare parts and equipment to support and enable efficient production and working order of our equipment. Spares Technicians will assist supervisors and the Maintenance and Engineering teams in directing the day-to-day activity of spare parts, and act as an example for safety and operational excellence.
Shift: A (Sun - Tues and every other Wed) 6am to 6pm
Responsibilities will include:
- Picking up and identifying delivered spares parts
- Transacting parts into and out of our inventory system
- Perform data entry tasks (CSP updates and receipts in ERP)
- Developing a space plan for all spares inventory in current and future states of the department
- Organizing and stocking parts in the warehouse/area locations
- Create virtual and physical locations and label for bins
- Transporting materials between warehouses when needed
- Interfacing directly with customers who are searching for parts
- Deliver spare parts for the maintenance and engineering teams when support is needed
- Cycle count counter and reconcilers
- Be able to execute against provided instructions from the Maintenance Planner to accurately identify and kit spare parts for planned downtimes and PMs
- Accurately count and organize materials
- Identify discrepancies in inventory and correct
- Communicate daily progress for processed and stored mail
- Drive continuous process improvements
- Experienced with material handling equipment and inventory systems
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Leadership experience preferred
- Demonstrated safety track record
- Previous experience in warehousing preferred
- Willingness to contribute at all levels of the organization
- Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
- A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
