Lead Manufacturing Process Technician
The Lead Manufacturing Process Technician will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to; assessing, implementing and documenting new process procedures that are both sustainable and scalable, liaising between cross functional teams to gather critical data needed to drive actions for process development, manage and own process documentation for new battery pack and module material preparation and sorting procedures, maintain ownership of process development and repackaging areas including 5S standards and enforcement. She or he will play a vital role in tactically leading a team to accomplish daily and weekly goals to enable organizational objectives to be completed.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ability to work a Monday-Friday work schedule, with opportunities for additional project work.
- Ability to provide leadership and make judgment calls in a technical environment.
- Skilled in meticulous data collection and observation recording.
- Ability to connect daily and weekly goals into larger organizational objectives.
- Ability to identify new process methods with consideration to equipment needed and mitigation of safety risks while doing so.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Proficiency in High Voltage Electrical Vehicle and Energy Storage Disassembly.
- Proven track record of safety-consciousness and capable of learning applicable EHS standards and proper chemical handling techniques.
- Ability to communicate plans and goals effectively and clearly, both orally and written.
- Capacity to work independently and safely with minimal supervision.
- Capacity to train team members in safe practices and hold them to a standard.
- Complete Standard Work Instructions (SWI) for approval through internal Document Control.
- Process documentation, publishing, and training.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical (STEM) field.
- Experience with remanufacturing of battery systems.
- Experience in assembly of electromechanical testing systems.
- Ability to assemble, fabricate, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment.
- Ability to work in a varying range of environments and conditions.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
