Transportation Analyst, Logistics and Global Trade
The Transportation Analyst, Logistics and Global Trade is responsible for overseeing all financial processes related to the company's transportation modes, FTL, LTL, Ocean, Air, Drayage, and Small Package. This role ensures accuracy and efficiency in freight invoice reconciliation, freight audits, and settlement processes. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to optimize freight audit operations and drive process improvements.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Reconcile invoicing discrepancies with carriers, resolving issues within defined timelines.
- Serve as primary escalation point for invoice discrepancies and carrier disputes.
- Develop and implement tracking systems for invoice workflows and cost reporting.
- Address and resolve carrier financial discrepancies, driving corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline freight settlement and invoice reconciliation.
- Conduct audits on shipping costs, services, and interpret carrier tariffs and contracts.
- Develop and maintain models to predict future freight rates and demand.
- Analyze historical data, market trends, and economic indicators to identify patterns and forecast future conditions.
- Use forecasts to optimize freight transportation strategies, including mode selection, routing, and capacity planning.
- Identify efficiency opportunities, areas for improvement in freight operations and propose solutions based on forecasting insights.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate forecasts and insights to stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in transportation, freight brokerage, or logistics with a proven track record in scaling operations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Advanced skill levels in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all organizational levels.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
