Founded in 2019, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.
Commercial Operations Specialist
We are seeking a specialist for the Customer Operations team, part of the broader Business Development team. This position offers the opportunity to be in a customer-facing operations role within our battery recycling and battery materials business, with a particular focus on providing support to our suppliers and ensuring smooth program operations.
Responsibilities will Include:
- Act as key point of contact for fulfilling day-to-day customer requests with regards to supplier onboarding, daily logistics requests, purchase order creation, reporting, compliance requirements.
- Keep meticulous records of all documents and interactions utilizing our CRM, ERP, file sharing system and home-grown portals, and suggest configuration and process improvements.
- Develop and refine processes that ensure smooth program operations and excellent service levels for shippers + corporate partners.
- Create and maintain supplier purchase orders and ensure on-time payments in collaboration with Accounts Payable.
- Work cross-functionally to develop analytics and software to support and report on the recycling programs.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures while focusing on safety and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree
- 2-4 years’ working experience, ideally in sales operations, business planning or logistics
- Commodity, Metals (mining or recycled), or Battery Materials industry experience is helpful.
- Smart, scrappy, entrepreneurial – having a bias for action and a lot of grit
- Our business is “dynamic,” meaning our market and we can change quickly. You’ll need to be comfortable in a startup environment. Think independent, motivated, self-starter.
- Strong analytical skills are required.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including meeting both qualitative and quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance in line with ADA, FMLA, and applicable standards
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety gloves, helmets, and eyewear, or additional PPE when required
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, including listening and speaking
Working Conditions:
- Office setting, manufacturing floor, outdoor job site, or remote work
- Required to work weekends, evenings, on-call shifts, or extended hours as needed
- 10% of the time, occasional travel, or frequent travel for meetings, site visits, or events
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
