Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.

The Electrical Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in supporting a high-growth manufacturing environment by maximizing equipment availability, reliability, and uptime. This role is primarily an electrical maintenance position with exposure to mechanical systems and automation and works cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, EHS, Operations, and Safety teams. You will troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain electrical distribution, automation, and electromechanical systems that support production operations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Comply with all safety standards and maintain all required PPE.
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production and facilities equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and electromechanical issues, implementing effective and timely solutions.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems including power distribution, control panels, lighting, PLCs, motor controls, drives, and automation equipment.
  • Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
  • Support installation of new equipment, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Respond to unplanned maintenance events and coordinate repairs to restore operations quickly and safely.

  • Comply with all safety standards, PPE requirements, and regulatory guidelines (NEC, NFPA 70E).
  • Participate in LOTO/JHA activities, job walks, shift pass-downs, and CMMS documentation

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment; Journeyman level or higher
  • Experience with 480 VAC and lower voltages, electrical cabinets, motor controls, VFDs, drives, PLCs, and ladder logic
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic systems, automation, and highly automated manufacturing environments
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in production environments
  • Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E safety standards with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
  • Experience using a CMMS and standard computer applications for documentation and reporting
  • Clear communicator able to work effectively with Engineering, Production, and Operations teams

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing (over 80% of the shift) and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to complete required respiratory fit testing and medical evaluation and work a full shift while wearing required PPE, including full-face respirators, SCBA or supplied-air systems, Tyvek suits, and PAPRs, as required for the role
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, including climbing ladders and stairs
  • Ability to operate and perform maintenance on equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized machinery

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in varied environments, both indoors and outdoors, year-round
  • Exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperature conditions, including heat and cold, for extended periods

Shift: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am Thursday - Saturday (every other Wednesday) 15% differential

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
