As a Manufacturing Engineer at Sortera Technologies, Inc., you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and product quality. Your primary focus will be on the design and implementation of manufacturing systems, ensuring that production meets both safety and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new products, utilizing your expertise in CNC programming and machining techniques. Additionally, you will analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity. Ultimately, your contributions will directly impact the company's ability to deliver high-quality products to our customers in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and plan layouts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with processes engineering.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct layout planning for manufacturing facilities to maximize workflow and minimize production costs.
- Collaborate with design engineers to facilitate new product introductions and ensure manufacturability.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Skills:
The required skills in CNC programming and manufacturing engineering will be utilized daily to design and refine production processes. Your knowledge of machining and injection molding will enable you to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions in real-time. Planning layouts will be essential for optimizing the manufacturing floor, ensuring that equipment and workflows are arranged for maximum efficiency. Additionally, your experience with new product introduction will allow you to seamlessly integrate new designs into existing manufacturing systems.
