Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the accounting team to build processes and procedures to support internal stakeholder for a rapidly growing technology driven manufacturing company. The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accounting operations and will be responsible for a variety of duties as we mature as a department and company to ensure out reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

Essential Functions

These functions are not intended to be a comprehensive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities required for the position.

  • Preparation of financial, tax, and budget reports within established deadlines
  • Responsible for forecasting and variance analysis
  • Assist in the preparation and review of account reconciliations, journal entries, cash management, and other relevant processes
  • Assist in the audit process, establishment and adherence to Internal Controls and the development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Research and resolve discrepancies between GL and subsidiary ledgers accounts
  • Recommend updates to accounting systems to improve efficiency and automation
  • Work with Executive Team and Plant Manager to develop and maintain operational performance metrics that can be used to measure and improve the business
  • Assist in banking activity and compliance
  • Oversee the month and year end closing process
  • Supports VP of Accounting on auditing procedures, processes, and requirements
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience in finance/accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • Corporate accounting/general ledger experience
  • Strong background and understanding of ERP systems
  • Strong analysis and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and individuals, as well as work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and processes
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • High energy and ability to manage time and effort for maximum results
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
