Proud Source Water is looking for a Plant Manager to join our Operations team role based in Marianna, Florida reporting to the Vice President, Plant Operations.

The Plant Manager Plant shall plan and implement all plant activity to assure that optimum productivity, efficiency, and material utilization are obtained. They while also ensure conformance to all product quality specifications, standards, and policies in manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution of all products. The Plant Manager will provide strong and inspiring leadership that will encourage all personnel to perform to the best of their ability and to develop to their fullest potential.

In this role, you will be responsible:

To staff all positions with competent personnel and to ensure that they are trained and motivated to accomplish all manufacturing and warehousing plans and objectives:

Sustain a NSF Supplier Certification for Food Processing Facilities and provide resources to that purpose for the full scope of certification.

To provide high-level customer service by maintaining balanced finished product inventories and shipping top quality product to customers accurately and promptly as required.

To maintain an orderly and sanitary facility and good manufacturing practices.

To maintain an effective safety program and safe working environment.

To properly maintain all assets (land, building, and equipment) and provide an adequate security and property protection program to safeguard all plant property, including inventories.

To develop and submit all manufacturing operating budgets for approval, and to maintain control over the approved budgets to ensure productivity, yield, and overhead expenses are attained as budgeted.

To actively foster an improvement program that identifies capital and/or operating expense projects covering new and improved procedures and methods aimed at improving quality and sanitation, reducing costs and increasing plant efficiency.

To foster a cooperative relationship with the community.

To ensure that all areas of the plant are operated in compliance with regulatory requirements.

To direct all aspects of the operation including, but not limited to, manufacturing, environmental, health, and safety, and administration. This person is responsible for the control of expenditures and ensuring that the plant meets its financial objectives as outlined in the Business Plan. This person is also responsible for communicating with, and assisting, all other organizations and departments within the supply chain.

Financial Responsibilities:

Communicate to staff manager’s corporate business and financial goals for the fiscal year.

Drive cost containment initiatives/reduction.

Manage plant budget and salary plan.

Build the Brand:

Consumer complaint reductions.

Partner with R&D and Marketing to identify ways in which to add value.

Deliver Customer Satisfaction:

Develop/achieve service targets.

Develop manufacturing plan to fit with inventory goals and Corporate Sales Plan.

Receive and analyze customer feedback.

Help management identify and develop relationships with internal customers.

Innovate and Continuously Improve:

Identify major issues and determine most effective manufacturing strategy.

Develop three (3) year capital plan based on business growth initiatives and cost savings.

Identify manufacturing costs for three (3) year strategy.

Foster an environment where taking risks is encouraged.

Develop Individuals & Teams and Enhance Performance:

Administer the performance management processes/individual development program.

Develop and maintain organizational success plan.

Hire, train and develop backups for key positions.

Identify critical areas for training and development.

Promote an environment conducive to teams, teamwork, and line-driven accountability.

Provide appropriate training.

Improve Environmental/Communication:

Drive positive Employee/Labor/Community Relations.

Develop communication process.

Promote Plant Safety/Environmental:

Ensure compliance with OSHA, DNR, & EPA.

Develop and participate in self-audits.

Direct the plant to administer and maintain safety programs and compliance via the Safety Committee.

Develop and ensure accomplishment of safety targets and initiatives.

Maintain/exceed environmental goals.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with EEOC, OFCCP, and Department of Labor regulations.

Develop and participate in self-audits.

Develop quality measures and ensure compliance.

Analyze consumer complaints and utilize data to drive initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct reports: QA Manager, Warehouse Supervisor(s), Operations Manager, Production/Scheduling Supervisor, Engineering/Maintenance Manager, Sanitation Supervisor, Environmental/Wastewater Supervisor, CI Manager

EDUCATION:

Degree /certificate preferred but not required.

EXPERIENCE:

2+ yrs previous experience

Highly responsible self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of job completion

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly developed organization and time-management skills
