Description
Reusable systems with frequent launch cadence are the key to seamlessly connecting Earth and space. A highly operable, reliable, and robust ground system is an integral part of a fully reusable launch system. As a logistics, shipping & receiving, and inventory & control specialist for our dedicated launch complex at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, you will be responsible for the setup, operations, and maintenance of the Cape’s logistics, shipping & receiving, and inventory & control. As part of a small, well-supported team, you will have access to the resources you need to get the job done right while simultaneously boosting your skills at a pace that can’t be matched in most other roles. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.
Responsibilities
- Setup, own, and execute site logistics, shipping & receiving, and flight hardware inventory & control for Cape Canaveral.
- Prepare freight for shipping, create manifest bill of lading, create packing slips and shipping labels, utilize protective package & dunnage, schedule pickups with carriers, track shipments, document within ERP system, and provide delivery status updates.
- Track and accept deliveries, verify receipt against bill of lading, inspect deliveries, document utilizing internal ERP system, stage items for internal pick up, and/or transport to final delivery location.
- Receipt and track all incoming, outgoing, staged, and inventoried hardware utilizing internal ERP system.
- Track, inventory, and organize critical flight hardware and ensure safety and security of inventoried hardware.
- Take in hardware kitting lists from engineering and meticulously kit items to ensure accurate build products
- Maintain records and track chain of custody documentation, and maintain strict inventory and control protocols.
- Maintain strict cleanliness and organization of all S&R and inventory areas.
- Execute transport of items between facilities including load and offload.
- Communicate and interface with internal customers, external vendors, and carriers.
- Coordinate closely with headquarters logistics and ensure Cape Canaveral offices are seamlessly integrated to receive and track incoming, onsite, and outgoing shipments.
- Operate and maintain material handling equipment across each Cape facility.
- Continuously maintain and improve the physical configuration of the system throughout ongoing operations and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Highschool diploma with a minimum of 5-years experience or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2-year experience in a related role working logistics, shipping & receiving, flight inventory & control, and/or materials management.
- Highly proficient using ERP systems.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Physical ability to stand and walk long distances, ability to lift up to 25 lbs, ability to lift packages and freight at ground level up to 4ft in height.
- Proven ability to lead, work autonomously, receive and incorporate constructive feedback, and work well on a high performing team.
- Proven ability to effectively coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as external vendors and contractors.
- Proficient using computers including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Willing to relocate to Cape Canaveral, FL

Compensation
Target Levels:
- Level 2 Range: $26.59- $39.90
- Level 3 Range: $33.27 - $49.86
