Description

Reusable launch systems are the key to seamlessly connecting Earth and space. As a Loads Analyst at Stoke, you will be responsible for our coupled loads analysis methodologies and deriving structural loads throughout the launch vehicle. This will include developing analysis methods and tools, supporting development of the vehicle level model, and deriving appropriate forcing functions. You will work closely with other engineers throughout Stoke to accomplish these objectives. As part of a small, well-supported team, you will have access to the resources you need to get the job done right while simultaneously boosting your skills at a pace that can't be matched in most other roles. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and improve coupled loads analysis processes and tools tailored for Stoke's launch vehicle programs
  • Perform comprehensive loads analyses across all critical events and deliver appropriate loads combinations to design teams
  • Coordinate with other engineering teams to ensure that the vehicle model is appropriate and improve it where necessary
  • Contribute to building, integrating, and validating finite element models
  • Generate and refine forcing functions from historical sources, flight and test data, as well as other analyses
  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and results to support review activities
  • Mentor and train other engineers to support execution of loads analysis processes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in aerospace structural dynamics and loads analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing coupled loads analysis (CLA) methodologies for launch vehicles
  • Proficiency in executing launch vehicle loads analyses
  • Experience with industry standard finite element analysis software (NASTRAN preferred)
  • Programming skills in MATLAB or Python
  • Strong fundamentals in dynamic structural analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Compensation

Target Levels:

  • Level 4 range: $144,100 - $240,100
  • Level 5 range: $168,100 - $312,200

Your actual level and base salary will be decided based on your specific experience and skill level.

ITAR Requirements
