We work alongside project developers, owners, and engineering & construction firms to support the design, optimization, and construction of huge solar projects around the world.

We are based in Northern California, with several other offices in the United States and around the world.

Position Overview:
As a Sales Engineer you will be an integral part of our sales team and provide a link between our engineering and sales teams. The Sales Engineer will be the primary customer-facing technical lead/ SME in support of the US sales team.
You will participate in all aspects of the technical sales process for our SCADA products in partnership with the commercial lead. You will also collect input from clients and internal colleagues to ensure a smooth handover of the project from Sales to Engineering/Project Management.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with multiple stakeholders and creating value by collaborating with colleagues. With your contributions, we are better able to design and deliver the solutions proposed to our customers.
Reports to the VP of Sales with a dotted line to the VP Operational Technologies (SCADA)
Position Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering degree
- Solid technical background in control systems
- Deep understanding of SCADA/ Power Plant Controls
- Knowledge of PV industry; helpful to have some knowledge of BESS
- Interest in educating customers on new Terabase technologies and products, and in providing customer feedback to the product team
- Ability to translate complex technical processes and terms to non- technical audiences
- Willingness to travel as needed, mainly to visit new and existing customers
- Capable of educating and persuading others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication in partnership with the sales team
- Friendly, congenial personality; able to easily interact with people
- Ability to assist the sales team with a consultive approach. We strive to build relationships with key accounts; and to understand our customer’s unique strategies and needs
- Curious, ability to ask questions and provide solutions
- Strong sales mentality and interest in working in a fast-paced sales environment. We plan to grow our business 40-50% year over year.
Compensation And Benefits
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each posted range individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher) dependent on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Terabase offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package including:
