To fully unlock the potential of this opportunity, Terabase is developing an interconnected software and construction automation platform. We work alongside project developers, owners, and engineering & construction firms to support the design, optimization, and construction of huge solar projects around the world.
Our team is a blend of solar-industry veterans and newbies, thought-leaders, dreamers, software, electrical and mechanical engineers, coders, product managers, project managers, and sales and marketing professionals. We are based in Northern California, with several other offices in the United States and around the world.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and growth of Terafab, our flagship robotic platform for solar power plant installation. This role requires a strategic thinker who is passionate about renewable energy, robotics, and product innovation. As the Product Manager, you will own the product roadmap, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure that Terafab exceeds market expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy and Roadmap:
- Develop and maintain a clear product vision and strategy for Terafab.
- Define and prioritize the product roadmap based on market research, customer feedback, and business goals.
- Identify and evaluate emerging trends in renewable energy and robotics to guide product innovation.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with OEMs and other technology partners to integrate solutions and drive innovation.
- Work closely with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Gather and synthesize input from customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to inform product decisions.
- Act as the primary advocate for Terafab within the organization and with external stakeholders.
3. Product Development:
- Oversee the development lifecycle of Terafab, from concept to deployment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical requirements and ensure feasibility.
- Conduct regular reviews to monitor progress and address any challenges.
4. Market and Customer Insights:
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand customer needs and market opportunities.
- Develop detailed customer personas and use cases to guide product design and development.
- Gather feedback through user testing, surveys, and direct engagement to improve the product.
5. Performance Metrics and Reporting:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of Terafab.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on product performance, challenges, and opportunities.
6. Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop positioning, messaging, and launch plans for Terafab.
- Support sales efforts by providing product expertise and creating customer-facing materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in robotics, renewable energy, or a related industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex hardware or software products from concept to launch.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with robotic systems or industrial automation.
- Familiarity with solar energy technologies and the utility-scale solar market.
- Knowledge of agile product development methodologies.
Compensation And Benefits
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each posted range individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher) dependent on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
