Engineering designs our next-generation hydrogen electric engines. Working across Hydrogen, Propulsion and Integration divisions, they solve technical problems and help decarbonize aviation by finding solutions for electric propulsion, hydrogen storage, fuel cell technology, power distribution, thermal management and more.

As the System V&V Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of the hydrogen-electric powertrain system. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in the establishment of a new clean aviation ecosystem, which includes hydrogen production from renewable energy sources and addressing public perceptions of safety.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to define and execute system verification and validation (V&V) activities
  • Develop test plans and procedures for performance and endurance testing
  • Conduct hardware and software integration testing
  • Analyze test results and troubleshoot any deviations or issues
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on system improvements
  • Support the development of test equipment and tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in verification and validation of complex systems
  • Strong knowledge of aviation systems and regulations
  • Familiarity with electrical and control systems
  • Proficiency with software tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or LabVIEW
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
