The company’s achievements to date were rewarded by the UK prime minister by inviting ZeroAvia as a member to the UK Jet Zero Council. ZeroAvia’s powertrain development focuses on integrating hydrogen storage tanks, fuel cell systems, and electric motors, delivering a solution that will be not only without climate impacting emissions, but also cheaper to operate. The company’s hydrogen infrastructure team is seeking to deliver the hydrogen production and refuelling ecosystem required to fuel the transition to emission-free aviation.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering projects by providing technical assistance and ensuring the smooth operation of various engineering systems. The Engineering Technician will collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to contribute to the successful implementation of projects and the maintenance of equipment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assemble hydrogen electric powertrains, including performing various machining and repair operations, using hand tools, specialized tools, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Work from complex product drawings, manuals, specifications and other company and customer specifications.
  • Set-up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot all tools and equipment used in the manufacturing, assembly, test and retrofit processes.
  • Perform inspections required to assure that the quality plan is achieved.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for engineering projects, including the assembly, installation, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports documenting findings, test results, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Work closely with engineers and other team members to implement design changes and improvements based on project requirements.
  • Assist in the development of prototypes and the testing of new technologies.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and standards in all engineering activities.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of components and systems meets established standards.
  • Assist in the implementation of quality control processes.
  • Coach, guide and train other team members and function in a team-oriented environment.
